Meet the Founders
David began studying Japanese at age 13 when he first started Karate in the Cayman Islands. At 16, he studied abroad in Oita, Japan at a local high school where he played on the soccer team, took calligraphy lessons, and participated in the Gion festival.
After high school, David attended Baylor University where he earned his minor in Japanese and studied at Hosei University in Tokyo through the Baylor in Japan program.
In addition to his role as President of the Japanese Society of the Cayman Islands, David manages a Bitcoin mining company and a variety of local businesses in the construction industry within the Cayman Islands.

After graduating high school in 2018, Zach traveled to Japan with David. Later, he decided to work towards a minor in Japanese at Baylor University, taking courses such as Business Japanese, where he learned the proper etiquette and language to use in a professional Japanese business environment.
Zach also worked in collaboration with students from Hosei University in Tokyo on a project about environmental preservation and development. Additionally, he worked with Seinan Gakuin University students in Fukuoka on a Japanese business case study.
